INFORMATION ABOUT THE MEETINGS

TUPOT, a newspaper created with the efforts of the Student Theatrologists' Scientific Circle, has been accompanying the Festival of Theatre Schools for years. From this year, Theatrologists Persistently Writing about Theatre will also accompany one of the most interesting events in the Łódź cultural calendar. Because Retroperspektywy is not only theatre, and TUPOT is not only a collection of reviews.

The editors, under the watchful and vigilant care of Dr Małgorzata Jabłońska from the Department of Drama and Theatre at the University of Łódź, will join in building the atmosphere and community of the Festival also by means of debates and theatre games, which will engage in a whirlwind of discussions about theatre and experiences.

There will also be editorial and performance activities: textual micro-interventions, verbal happenings and brilliant print provocations. In addition to the regular elements of the theatre newspaper, there will be scathing tirades by two editorial pranksters - Arnold Listewka and Valeriana Tuptaczek - known for taking no prisoners, but taking things in parentheses and sometimes - horror of horrors - in inverted commas. We are happy when someone disagrees with us - it means the text works.

You will also be able to meet us eye to eye when curious people stand in front of you with a microphone to ask about your impressions. We will be wherever you can speak, listen, write - and where someone still believes that theatre is not only an artform but a common cause.

We also invite you to participate in table talks - intimate discussions devoted to festival events. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - August 26, 27 and 28, 2025 - at noon, we will be waiting, ready and willing for any discussion about theatre and experiencing it.

Reviews and reports created by students will be available to read on the official website of the editorial office: tupotgazeta.com.
